What You'll Do:
The AVP, Portfolio and Operations Analyst is responsible for the Portfolio acquisition process from opportunity identification through booking and post-booking audit. In addition, the role serves as a subject matter expert for complex funding transactions, providing advanced operational expertise in the review, coordination, documentation, and funding of commercial equipment finance and lease transactions. The position exercises a high degree of independent judgment, mitigates operational and regulatory risk, resolves complex transaction and documentation issues, mentors team members, and drives continuous process improvement while ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
Portfolio Acquisition Process
- Lead end-to-end execution of portfolio acquisition transactions, partnering with Originators and key stakeholders to drive timely, accurate closings.
- Coordinate portfolio underwriting and approval activities, serving as the primary liaison between Originations, Credit, and Operations.
- Ensure portfolio data integrity, system onboarding, and compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Validate transaction structure, purchase pricing, and funding requirements prior to closing.
- Oversee preparation, execution, and maintenance of acquisition documentation and related transaction records.
- Direct funding, booking, and post-close activities to ensure operational accuracy and risk mitigation.
- Manage post-acquisition portfolio administration, including documentation updates, amendments, and resolution of outstanding issues.
Complex Transaction Review & Funding
- Independently review complex commercial loan structures and funding packages.
- Interpret credit approvals and legal documentation.
- Validate funding conditions and authorize funding readiness.
- Resolve complex documentation and funding issues.
- Ensure compliance with approved credit structures and regulatory requirements.
Funding Leadership
- Lead coordination of complex funding transactions.
- Partner with relationship managers, credit administration, legal counsel, operations, and vendors.
- Execute high-dollar domestic and international wire transfers of funding transactions.
- Serve as escalation point for funding questions.
Risk Management & Operational Excellence
- Identify operational, compliance, and documentation risks.
- Recommend solutions to mitigate funding risk.
- Lead quality reviews of funding transactions.
- Support internal audits, regulatory examinations, and quality assurance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with OFAC, BSA, AML, consumer regulations, and internal controls.
Process Improvement & Leadership
- Lead funding process improvement initiatives.
- Develop procedures and best practices.
- Train, mentor, and coach Funding Specialists.
- Participate in system implementations and workflow enhancements.
- Serve as subject matter expert on funding operations.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of commercial lending, funding, loan operations, or credit administration experience.
- Advanced experience reviewing commercial loan documentation.
- Experience handling complex funding transactions.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Compensation:
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $85,000- $98,000, along with eligibility to earn quarterly bonuses. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
