Position Overview
Grand Health Care Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become a vital member of our healthcare team. In this full-time, onsite role in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada, you will be directly involved in enhancing patient outcomes by implementing customized therapeutic treatment plans under the guidance of licensed Physical Therapists. Your expertise will play a significant role in helping patients regain their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.

Work Environment
Located within a state-of-the-art hospital facility in Las Vegas, our clinic offers a collaborative and engaging work environment. As a PTA, you will work closely with an interdisciplinary team, including Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Each day will present new challenges and opportunities to interact with a diverse patient population, ensuring that no two days are alike. Our operating hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional flexibility required based on clinic needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in developing and implementing patient-centered treatment plans tailored to improve mobility, strength, and daily functioning.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities, ensuring adherence to safety and effectiveness protocols.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and home exercise programs for sustained recovery beyond clinic visits.
- Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy as prescribed.
- Monitor patient progress by documenting observations and outcomes related to range of motion, strength, and functional improvements.
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring all equipment is sterile, organized, and ready for therapy sessions.
- Engage actively with the interdisciplinary team to discuss patient care strategies and share insights for optimal outcomes.
- Provide emotional support to patients, creating a motivating and reassuring atmosphere throughout their rehabilitation journey.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality and respect for patient rights.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a varied patient population that includes individuals recovering from surgeries, athletes needing rehabilitation, elderly patients with age-related conditions, and children requiring specialized therapy. Your ability to adapt your approach will be essential to meet the distinct needs and goals of each patient.
Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Possession of a valid state license or certification to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and treatment modalities related to physical therapy.
- Proficiency in therapy techniques, demonstrating the ability to conduct exercises and employ modalities as directed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport and engage effectively with patients and team members.
- A compassionate, patient-centered approach that reflects a genuine commitment to supporting patients through their rehabilitation experiences.
- Ability to modify treatment plans based on ongoing assessments of patient conditions and progress.
- Attention to detail, with strong organizational and time management skills to ensure efficient operation of therapy sessions.
Preferred Experience
Though not mandatory, experience in a hospital or clinical rehabilitation setting is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and modern physical therapy equipment will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
