Now Hiring: Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Unit (10th Floor) Novant Health NHRMC
The Team Lead will function as the Charge Nurse for every scheduled shift, following a two-week rotating master schedule:
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
- Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
- Week 4: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
This rotating schedule provides consistent Charge Nurse coverage while maintaining a predictable work pattern.

What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical and post-surgical diagnoses.
- Perform thorough patient assessments, develop individualized plans of care, and monitor patients throughout their hospitalization.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other prescribed treatments.
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, rehabilitation services, pharmacists, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality, coordinated patient care.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and discharge planning to support successful recovery.
- Recognize changes in patient condition and intervene promptly to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation while delivering compassionate, evidence-based care in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Current valid North Carolina RN license or Multi-State/Compact license required.
- One year of medical-surgical or acute care nursing experience preferred.

What We're Looking For:- Education:
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.

- One year relevant experience, prefered.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
