Get to Know Your Team:

  • UT Health East Texas is comprised of 9 hospitals, more than 90 clinics, nearly 7,000 employees and over 1,000 licensed inpatient beds. UT Health East Texas provides healthcare services through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the Patient Logistics Center function(s) are consistently maintained during all operation hours; provides oversight and direction over all staff and processes related to Patient Logistics Center functions.
  • The position works in collaboration with Patient Logistics Center Regional Director and Staff, hospital department representatives, physicians and leadership teams to foster relationships with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff around the concept of patient transfers.
  • The position works closely with staff at all levels within organizations served to identify, trend, report, and overcome barriers to patient throughput or transfer processes.
Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in a nursing compact licensure participating state
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in acute care setting with progressive supervisory experience
