  • Extra $1.00/hour for 2nd shift; extra $2.00/hour for 3rd shift

Advanced Machinist Requirements & Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 6+ years machining experience (mill, lathe, saw, or boring machines) with large steel forgings
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Proficiency with tape measures
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs


Advanced Machinist Preferred Background & Skills


  • CNC (mill or lathe) experience
  • MDI experience
  • OSHA or machining certifications


Advanced Machinist Day-to-Day Responsibilities


  • Operate overhead crane for machine loading and unloading
  • Layout and plan cut paths; determine proper tooling
  • Monitor machining process, adjusting feeds and speeds as needed
  • Manage chip production and maintain a clean work area, including sweeping and shoveling
  • Measure finished pieces using rulers, pi tape, dial indicators, and calipers
  • Complete required documentation in paper or electronic format
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
