Automotive Technician – Lube & Tire | $25–$35/Hour | Monday–Friday

Half Moon Bay Auto Repair
Location: Half Moon Bay, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
Pay Type: Hourly, not flat rate
Typical Flagged Hours: Approximately 20–30 per week

About Half Moon Bay Auto Repair

Half Moon Bay Auto Repair is seeking a full-time Automotive Technician – Lube & Tire in Half Moon Bay, CA. This position pays $25–$35 per hour based on experience and is hourly, not flat rate. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform oil changes and preventive maintenance services

  • Mount, balance, rotate, and repair tires

  • Inspect tires and identify tire safety concerns

  • Perform brake inspections and basic brake services

  • Complete vehicle inspections and routine maintenance involving fluids, filters, and belts

  • Identify and communicate additional maintenance or repair needs

  • Assist experienced technicians with larger repairs as needed

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following shop safety and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Automotive experience is preferred; entry-level candidates with relevant skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply

  • Experience with oil changes, tires, brakes, or preventive maintenance is a plus

  • Basic hand tools are preferred; shop tools are available

  • Ability to work safely and efficiently in a busy automotive repair shop

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach

  • Commitment to dependable work and quality workmanship

  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Compensation & Benefits

  • $25–$35 per hour, based on experience
