The Partner Engagement Manager manages a portfolio of corporate funders and is responsible for driving corporate fundraising, partner renewals, and revenue growth through strategic account management. This role develops and executes fundraising strategies that strengthen corporate partnerships, secure renewed and expanded investments, and deliver an exceptional partner experience.
Reporting to the Director of Partner Engagement, this role owns a portfolio of corporate funders with accountability for renewal, retention, and revenue growth. Success in this role requires experience managing corporate donor relationships, leading renewal conversations, identifying expansion opportunities, and achieving fundraising or revenue goals.
This is an individual contributor role with the potential for future people management responsibilities.
This role requires strong fundraising and relationship management skills, sound judgment, and the ability to prioritize efficiently. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, and comfortable communicating with stakeholders at varying levels of seniority, from program contacts to executive leaders. This role is NY-based and requires 2 days in-office per week, in compliance with our hybrid work policy.
Key Responsibilities
Own a portfolio of corporate partners with accountability for annual fundraising, renewal, retention, and revenue growth goals.Develop and execute strategic account plans that position partners for successful renewals and expanded investment.Lead renewal strategy and fundraising conversations for assigned partners, including proposal development, benefit negotiations, and stewardship planning.Manage moves management activities for assigned partners, including tracking key milestones, renewal timelines, and action itemsAnalyze partnership data and trends, with guidance from the Director, to inform renewal planning, forecasting, and growth opportunitiesLeverage partner feedback, survey data, and engagement insights to strengthen renewal strategy and overall partner experienceCollaborate cross-functionally to deliver partner benefits, sponsorship commitments, and stewardship activities that support successful fundraising renewals and long-term partner retention.Create concise and compelling written materials, including partner proposals, reports, briefing documents, and concept notesBuild strong knowledge of Girls Who Code programs and serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external partnersAdvocate internally for partner priorities and strategic relationship needsTrack and maintain accurate partnership activity, engagement data, and renewal forecasting within Salesforce and related systemsRepresent Girls Who Code at partner meetings, events, and convenings as neededDemonstrate willingness to manage a potential future Partner Engagement Associate hire, providing mentorship, guidance, and portfolio support as the team grows
Qualifications
4-5 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years managing corporate fundraising, corporate philanthropy, corporate partnerships, strategic account management, or business development with responsibility for revenue, renewals, or growth goals.Experience leading fundraising, renewal, sponsorship, or investment conversations with corporate partners.Demonstrated success managing a portfolio with fundraising, renewal, retention, or revenue targets.Experience managing corporate philanthropy or CSR partnerships is strongly preferred.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneouslyDemonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing partner-facing materialsAbility to work independently, adapt to shifting priorities, and identify opportunities for improvementStrong sense of accountability to deadlines, fundraising goals, and portfolio performanceComfort working across distributed and in-person teamsExperience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, or willingness to learn quicklyFamiliarity with sales engagement tools such as Yesware or similar platforms preferredInterest in or knowledge of technology, education, workforce equity, or the nonprofit sector preferredAlignment with our mission to close the gender gap in technology fields through a dedication to diversity, equity and inclusion
