Full job description
Join our leadership team as the Director of Perioperative Services, where you’ll lead a dynamic surgical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and an outstanding surgical experience. In this key role, you’ll oversee all perioperative areas—including the Operating Rooms, PACU, Short Stay Surgery Unit, Sibley Surgery Center, Outpatient Procedure Suite, Pre-Admission Testing and IR—while driving quality, safety, and operational excellence. We’re looking for a visionary leader who fosters collaboration, champions process improvement and innovation, and inspires teams to reach their highest potential.
Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Health Care Management and certification in Nursing Administration and/or Perioperative Nursing or a Master’s Degree in Nursing or a health care related field. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- At least five (5) years in an acute care setting, to include patient care, education and leadership experience. Perioperative experience essential.
- Experience in managing patient care in a computerized environment highly desirable.
- Experience in project development and implementation, to include both clinical and financial criteria is required

Salary Range: Minimum 166,241.00/annually - Maximum 208,099.00/annually. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
