As part of the Secure the Enterprise initiative, develop capabilities to shift from the current manual system security evaluation and authorization process to a new model that emphasizes automation, streamlined processes and approvals, continuous monitoring and assessment, and network data gathering across the entire life cycle of a project.
Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).
Capabilities
- Develop and enhance automated capabilities that replace manual security evaluation and authorization processes.
- Use Python to process, analyze, and validate security related data, ensuring systems and resources meet security requirements.
- Detect anomalies and outliers to assess progress through the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle.
- Identify system associations for resources based on various attributes and known system information.
- Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to collect and integrate data from multiple sources (network sensors, security tools, compliance databases).
- Transform and prepare data for reporting, analysis, and automated assessments.
- Support data engineering operations including data quality checks, pipeline monitoring, workflow optimization, and timely delivery of security insights.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
- Bachelor's and Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline (e.g., statistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering or computer science).
- Ten years of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics, and ten years of experience programming with data analysis software such as R, Python, SAS, or MATLAB.
- An additional two years of experience in software development, cloud development, analyzing datasets, or developing descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics can be substituted for a Master's degree.
- A PhD from an accredited college or university in a quantitative discipline can be substituted for four years of experience.
