Job Title:  Part Time Preschool Assessment Assistant 

Location: Cupertino , CA 

Job Type: Part Time 

Compensation : 20 per hour 

Intended Start Date: July 2026 -December 2026

About This Role:

Think Academy is seeking part-time Preschool Assessment Assistant  to conduct cognitive-skills assessments for children ages 3–5. Assessment areas include number sense, logic, spatial reasoning, attention, and other foundational thinking skills.

This is an excellent opportunity for students and recent graduates in early childhood education or related fields to gain hands-on experience. Selected candidates will receive comprehensive training and support from our professional education team.

No prior experience is required, training, playbooks, and mentorship are provided. This position is a strong stepping stone toward event coordination, operations management, or campus/community marketing within Think Academy’s expanding network.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct one-on-one or small-group cognitive-skills assessments for children ages 3–5
  • Follow standardized assessment procedures and conduct classroom observations
  • Document each child’s performance and assist with assessment feedback
  • Create a welcoming, engaging, and encouraging environment
  • Help children feel comfortable and confident throughout the assessment
  • Collaborate with the assessment team to ensure a smooth and consistent process

Previous assessment experience is not required. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in:
    • Early Childhood Education
    • Child Development
    • Education
    • Psychology
    • Another related field
  • Genuine interest in working with children ages 3–5
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • Patient, caring, responsible, and detail-oriented
  • Able to follow standardized assessment procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Availability Requirements

  • Consistent availability on weekday afternoons and weekends
  • Ability to work at least 10 hours per week
  • Ability to commit through the end of December 2026
  • Reliable attendance and interest in a stable, long-term opportunity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a preschool, daycare, summer camp, or similar setting
  • Tutoring, classroom-assistance, or children’s activity experience
  • Mandarin proficiency is a plus but not required
  • Interest in child development, private-school admissions, or education

Training

Selected candidates will receive training in:

  • Think Academy’s assessment framework
  • Developmental characteristics of children ages 3–5
  • Cognitive-skills assessment procedures
  • Parent communication guidelines
  • Instructional techniques and classroom management

Teachers may begin conducting assessments after successfully completing the required training.
