Job Summary and Qualifications

To perform Computerized Tomography exams at a technical level, which does not require constant supervision, and to assure the responsibility for designated areas, or procedures as required. To assure that the highest degree of quality performance and patient care is delivered to all patients according to their physical needs and limitations. To work within a team-oriented concept, in a fast paced highly productive department. Helps in other areas of the Radiology department when needed.

What you will do in this role:

  • "Demonstrates competence in all areas of Cat Scan and supervision: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, technical factors,
  • and management of the department."
  • Ensures that there is an adequate supply of materials available.
  • Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment.
  • Responsible for proper use of Radiology Information System.
  • Shall be actively involved in the TQM process and present creative solutions to processes.
  • Position patients for each anatomical view using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary. Explains CT procedures to patients.
  • Maintains necessary continuing education requirements for license.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support
  • (RT) Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer
  • (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography
  • (ARRT-R) Radiography
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
