Our client, a leading organization in the automotive and consumer electronics industries, is seeking a Technical Program Manager - Hardware Development Programs to join their team. As a Technical Program Manager - Hardware Development Programs, you will be part of the Advanced Hardware Engineering department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Technical Program Manager - Hardware Development Programs
Location: Foster City, CA
Pay Range: $88/hour + Benefits
What's the Job?
- Own end-to-end program management for next-generation robotaxi hardware development programs, from concept and architecture through EVT/DVT/PVT builds and into production ramp
- Work with cross-functional teams to translate corporate strategy and milestones into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, firmware, functional safety, system, procurement, and vehicle development teams to align priorities and dependencies
- Partner with outside contract manufacturers to plan and execute prototype and engineering builds, incorporating DFM/DFT feedback into design and preparing programs for production ramp
- Establish standard reports and regularly update teams and leadership on program progress, risks, issues, and accomplishments
What's Needed?
- 6+ years of hardware Technical Program Management or Engineering Program Management experience, with proven success in taking products from concept through production ramp
- Experience working with outside contract manufacturers during development builds and production ramp
- Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams spanning hardware, software, firmware, and systems engineering
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to report progress and risks clearly to leadership
- Proficiency in program management tools such as JIRA and Gantt charts
