Full job description
MANTECH seeks a motivated and customer-oriented Deputy Program Manager to support our team at Bolling AFB, Washington, D.C. This is an onsite position.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the Program Manager in day-to-day execution of program activities.
Establishing and maintaining an accurate cost accounting system and performing cost-benefit and economic evaluations of programs..
Managing hardware and software configurations and leading the technical management teams located at client sites.
Establishing and controlling the program product baseline.
Implementing and overseeing a Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) program.
Advising on work distribution, staffing levels, and skills alignment.
Recommending enhancements to organizational methods and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Similar Field.
Experience with Accounting, Budgeting, or Auditing in a government setting.
7+ years of experience as a Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager or similar role on contracts of similar size and complexity.
Experience managing cross-functional teams, subcontractor and vendor relationships.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with DOD and military/civilian personnel.
Willingness to travel within the geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Preferred Qualifications:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA PM Level II certification.
Security Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI security clearance
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Must be able to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, and exchange accurate information clearly in these situations.
