Full job description
Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment. Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 24 months of Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit experience.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• COVID booster required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Cross Country Program - John Muir.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years recent ICU experience.
Required Credentials: Facility specialty testing required, including Lethal Rhythm Exam and competency assessment.
Special Requests: Travel pairs are not supported; each clinician must apply and receive an offer separately.
Unit Details: Adult MSICU patient population includes sepsis, respiratory failure, CHF, pulmonary edema, and post-op thoracic/vascular surgery; little to no neuro or trauma. Nurse-patient ratio is 1:2, with criteria for 1:1. Primary patient care model with vents, trachs, central lines, and titrating drips. Uses Philips monitors, Servo-I vents, Hospira Smart Pumps, and Pyxis. Very few PA catheter patients (1-2/month); 25-50% of patients are vented. No charge duties required.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call. Must be available for 2 out of 3 major winter holidays and 2 out of 3 summer holidays. Winter holidays are Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s. Summer holidays are Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day.
Floating Requirements: Float to Trauma ICU, Neuro ICU, and Progressive Care (Stepdown)/NSD; travelers could float to 1-2 units in a 12 hr shift. Travelers float first.
14 days maximum time off
2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
