About the Role:
Performs registration and scheduling of outpatient appointments, charge entry, collection of co-pays and medical records functions. Will work on Mondays and Thursdays, 8 am to 4:30 pm in our Westminster office. Training/orientation will be held at Sinai Hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Collects co-pays and fees for facility and professional services from patient/guarantor.
- Balances and closes all payment batches at the end of the day.
- Verifies patient insurance coverage.
- Obtains facility and professional services authorizations; may assist patients with obtaining specialty referrals.
- Performs complete registration of patients. Interviews patients to obtain correct demographic and insurance information.
- Schedules appointments into computed systems.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED preferred
- 1-3 years of related experience
Pay Range: $15.50 to $27.29 Based On Experience
