Please note this role is located in Langley, BC.

The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for all production maintenance, including repair and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment. This role involves applying mechanical expertise in determining work methods and procedures for producing quality product. Responsibilities:

• Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout/Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to insure a safe work environment
• Follow, without exception, all work instructions and safety policies, including use of all PPE and safety equipment
• Accurate and up to date CMMS work order data entry and completion
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery
• Lubricate and clean machinery and support equipment to maintain housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to troubleshoot causes of problems
• Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges and switches
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 years’ experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience
• Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals
• Basic understanding of systems, equipment and schematics
• Ability to solve practical problems and troubleshoot
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions
• Basic computer literacy
• Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties

Schedule:

This position is from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Thursday.

Schedule is subject to change as Mauser Langley is a 24/7 facility.

Pay:

The range for this position is $25 – 35 per hour. Exact salary offered will depend on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and work location.
