Bar Manager – High‑Volume Hospitality Concept (Houston, TX)
Salary: $55,000–$58,000
Schedule: ~55 hours/week
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision; 2 weeks PTO after 1 year
Bonus: Annual performance‑based
A busy Heights hospitality concept is seeking a Bar Manager to oversee beverage operations, vendor relationships, and bar team performance. Candidates must bring hands‑on bar program experience, strong communication skills, and familiarity with Houston’s bar market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and train bar staff; maintain strong floor presence
- Manage bar program, seasonal cocktails, and beverage costing
- Maintain liquor/beer vendor relationships
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and POS accuracy
- Ensure service standards, sanitation, and guest satisfaction
- Support hiring, scheduling, and staff development
- Monitor P&L, labor, and beverage costs
Required Experience & Skills
- 2+ years running a bar program
- Strong liquor/beer vendor relationships
- Prefer bilingual English/Spanish
- Knowledge of Houston bar market
- 3–5 years supervisory experience
- 3–5 years bartending/serving experience
- Budgeting, forecasting, inventory, and POS experience
- Ability to work 55+ hours, stand long periods, lift 30 lbs
