Full job description

•Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment.

•Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.

•Washes pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures. Ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation.

•Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.

General responsibilities when working a Dishwasher job assignment can include:

  • Collect used kitchenware from dining and or kitchen areas
  • Load and unload dishwashing machine, ensure complete cleanliness and sanitation of dishes
  • Hand wash specific items according to assigned procedures
  • Store and restock clean kitchenware
  • Maintain cleaning supplies stock, transfer cleaning supplies between storage and work area
  • Keep a clean and orderly workstation
  • Comply with all sanitation and safety policies and procedures
