Join the Hospital Medicine team in Brockton, Massachusetts, as a Nocturnist Physician. This role at Brockton Hospital offers an opportunity to provide exceptional patient care during overnight shifts within a collaborative environment. Practice Info
- Join a team of 17 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers (APPs) at Brockton Hospital.
- A dedicated site coordinator is assigned to the team to help maintain work-life balance.
- A clinical performance nurse assists in delivering an exceptional patient care experience.
- The hospital has a closed ICU with intensivists on hand 24/7, so procedures are not required.
- The team connects frequently over lunch to address concerns and receive updates.
- Meditech and an internal informatics platform are used.
Responsibilities
- Encompass approximately 9 admissions and cross coverage alongside a Nocturnist APP.
- Utilize onsite Swing Admitter until 9 PM for overlap coverage.
- Have the opportunity to teach transitional year residents from Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
- Contribute to the rapid response and code team, with the intensivist team taking over codes upon arrival.
Compensation
- Competitive salary of $374,000 with opportunities for bonuses based on performance and growth.
- $25,000 commencement bonus.
Shift & Schedule
- Full-time positions follow a 7-days-on, 7-days-off rotation.
- Nocturnist hours are from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible internal medicine or family medicine physician.
- 2+ years Hospitalist or Nocturnist experience preferred.
- Authorized to work in the United States or require H-1B visa support.
- Comfortable with a nocturnal schedule and possess the ability to deliver exceptional patient care during nighttime hours.
