Material Handler
Location: Lenexa, KS
Shift: 3rd Shift
Schedule: 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 am, Sunday - Thursday
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely moving, storing, and tracking materials throughout the facility while supporting inventory accuracy, shipping operations, and production efficiency. This position plays an important role in maintaining workplace safety, food safety compliance, and efficient warehouse operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What You Will Do
- Operate motorized forklift trucks to move materials between warehouse storage and production areas
- Operate hand carts to deliver packages and materials to designated recipients
- Operate man-up turret forklifts and work safely at heights exceeding 15 feet
- Perform computerized inventory transactions and maintain inventory accuracy
- Bale scrap film and corrugated packaging materials as needed
- Manage and handle hazardous and universal waste in compliance with environmental regulations
- Move and prepare hazardous waste containers for shipment in accordance with DOT and hazardous waste regulations
- Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and meet OSHA safety requirements
- Complete additional duties and projects as assigned by leadership
What You Have to Offer
- 1+ year of warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification
- Experience operating industrial forklifts and standing lift trucks preferred
- Basic computer skills, including e-mail and inventory management systems
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
