Assistant or Graduate Assistant Women's Soccer Coach | Posted May 7, 2024
Baker University is seeking a part-time Assistant Women's Soccer Coach to help with practices, recruiting, administrative tasks, and game day responsibilities. This position will pay a stipend for those not seeking a graduate degree; for those seeking a graduate degree, a graduate tuition waiver plus a small stipend is included.
Graduate program:
Classes are all online (check visa if you are an international student)
This position supports the Department of Athletics by doing the following:
- Assisting the Head Coach in recruiting student-athletes with the necessary skills and abilities needed to succeed
- Assisting with administrative tasks
- Adhering to and enforcing all policies and procedures of the Department of Athletics and Baker University
**Position Responsibilities**
- Assist with practices and games (home and away)
- Assist with recruiting responsibilities
- Participate in recruits' campus visits
- Assist with ID camps when needed
- Assist with youth camps when needed
- Attend games, tournaments, ID events to watch and evaluate recruits
- Evaluate film for team instruction, scouting, and potential recruits
- Assist with office administrative tasks such as database management, gear inventory, filing, phone calls, and athlete meetings
**Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree
- Prior coaching or playing experience or both at the college level preferred
- Ability to lead, guide, and direct student-athletes
- First Aid, CPR, AED (these can be completed after hire)
