JOB SUMMARY

Ensures that all services are delivered in accordance with the mission statement and SPIRIT values of Carroll Hospital Center. Under the supervision of Rehab Services Coordinator or licensed occupational therapist, completes designated structured/standardized evaluation/re-eval tasks, conducts general activity programs, assists in planning and implementing treatment programs for individuals limited by psychosocial dysfunction. Utilizes knowledge appropriate to the patient(s) age to ensure that care provided meets the unique, physical and psychosocial needs of the patients. Must possess strong interpersonal, task analysis and clinical reasoning skills, creativity, innovation, professional development and autonomy.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Required Associate's Degree Occupational Therapy
  • Less than 2 years 18 months preferred. Psychosocial practice background preferred, but would consider related experience. Required
  • CPR - AHA Healthcare Provider
  • L - Occupational Therapist Assistant (Maryland)
  • Initial COTA certification by AOTCB or NBCOT
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Communication skills, both oral and written, necessary in order to deal effectively with a variety of Hospital personnel, to comfort and assist patients and their families and maintain appropriate documentation in computer.
