Joint Relief Therapy Services is looking for a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our talented team in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Work Environment
The PTA will work onsite within our hospital in North Las Vegas, engaging daily with a diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities
- Assist licensed Physical Therapists in executing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Provide hands-on therapeutic intervention, which includes guiding patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and mobility training to restore function.
- Instruct patients on proper exercise techniques and the safe use of therapeutic equipment, ensuring they understand their recovery journey.
- Carefully monitor patient progress during therapy sessions and document findings, communicating updates to supervising Physical Therapists in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate, detailed records in electronic health systems (EHR), ensuring all patient interactions and treatment plans are properly documented and compliant with industry standards.
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate closely with the clinical team to promote effective rehabilitation outcomes, attending team meetings and contributing to case discussions as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and strategies that facilitate recovery outside of therapy sessions.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of our physical therapy program is on individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, including joint replacements, fractures, and other musculoskeletal injuries. Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited program is required.
- Must possess a valid PTA license to practice in Nevada.
