Key Responsibilities

As a PTA at Empower Health System, your role will encompass a variety of essential functions, including:

• Working under the direct supervision of a licensed physical therapist to implement individualized therapy plans for patients across all age groups.
• Applying skills in manual therapy and using effective interpersonal communication to educate patients and their families about their treatment plans and progress.
• Documenting patient interactions and therapy sessions accurately and promptly to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.
• Adhering to infection control protocols and practicing standard precautions to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Maintaining a commitment to self-improvement through mandatory continuing education and participating in in-service training programs.
• Utilizing modern technology for communication and documentation of patient care activities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your patient focus will span individuals from diverse backgrounds and conditions, emphasizing personalized care strategies that prioritize individual needs and recovery goals. The multidisciplinary team you collaborate with will include physical therapists, nurses, and occupational therapists, all working together to facilitate optimal rehabilitation pathways.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Tennessee.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for professionals with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Experience in manual therapy techniques is highly desirable, as well as proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

Empower Health System offers a competitive salary ranging from $50,000 to $60,000 annually based on experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
