As the Accountant, you will work within the finance department located in Mount Holly, NJ.

Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm with 30 min unpaid lunch

Salary: $45,000-$50,000/year

Responsibilities:

  • Shared responsibility for month-end closing process including accruals, allocations and other entries
  • Preparing prepaid & business insurance schedules, payments, allocations and entries into the system
  • Agency Maintenance worker’s hours, including Excel preparation, coding and system entries
  • Balance sheets, income statements & updated Excel spreadsheets from system data as requested
  • Analyze budget to actual reports, ensure correct periods are used and make adjusting entries as needed
  • Investment accounting, including unrealized gains/losses, interest, dividends and cash activity
  • Preparing investment performance snapshot for Board meetings
  • Review outstanding purchase order file to determine and make accruals as needed
  • Grant billing & HUD fund drawdowns as needed
  • Ensure requests and questions are handled efficiently & accurately, including the annual audit process
  • Ensure assigned accounts payable batches are consistently checked to ensure accuracy & timeliness
  • Other projects as assigned by the Vice President of Fiscal Affairs

Qualifications:

  • BS in Accounting or Finance preferred; Accounting experience required; non-profit
    experience helpful; Excel and Microsoft Outlook experience required; detail oriented, highly organized person
    with excellent written and verbal communication skills and general bookkeeping knowledge required.
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing
