Position Overview
Ensign Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at our Oakland, California facility. Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
In the role of Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing patients' rehabilitation experiences:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, in adherence to established care plans.
- Implement treatment techniques to relieve pain and restore functional mobility, focusing on individualized patient needs.
- Guide and assist patients in performing both active and passive therapeutic exercises, promote muscle reeducation, and provide gait training.
- Assist patients with transfer activities and educate them on the proper usage of mobility devices such as wheelchairs, canes, and orthotics.
- Utilize therapeutic modalities, including heat, cold, and electrical stimulation, to aid in the rehabilitation process.
- Ongoing observation of patient responses to treatment, ensuring that any needed adjustments to care plans are communicated effectively.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring notes are recorded in a timely manner to be integrated into patients’ medical records.
- Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to quality assessment and performance improvement initiatives.
- Participate in educational programs to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
- Perform additional duties as required by the supervising physical therapist or organization.

Qualifications
