Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated team at Personal Touch Physical Therapy Group in Millbrae, California. Key Responsibilities
- Guide and motivate patients through prescribed therapy exercises to enhance mobility and strength, monitoring progress closely to ensure efficacy.
- Assist patients with hands-on therapy techniques utilizing your background in manual therapy to alleviate pain and improve function.
- Conduct initial evaluations to assess patient needs and establish suitable treatment goals in partnership with your supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate patients and their caregivers on prescribed treatment plans, lifestyle modifications, and at-home exercises to promote continuity of care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, such as WebPT, while continuously updating therapy plans based on patient progress.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The patients you will work with primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic procedures, sports injuries, and those experiencing chronic musculoskeletal pain. Our clinic prides itself on treating a diverse patient population, each requiring a personalized approach to rehabilitation. Your role as a PTA will be integral in guiding these patients on their journey to recovery and improving their overall functional outcomes.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- A valid Physical Therapist Assistant license from the state of California.
- A minimum of two years of professional experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, demonstrating your adeptness in handling diverse cases.
- Proficient in using EMR software, particularly WebPT, to document and manage patient records accurately.
- A strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities.
Preferred Experience
We prefer candidates who have specialized training or certifications in areas such as sports rehabilitation or post-surgical recovery, as these skills will enhance patient outcomes and align with our clinic's mission to provide comprehensive care.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to 85,000 per year , commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer competitive benefits, including:
