Full job description

Our client, a leading organization in the industrial manufacturing sector, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prep Technician to join their team. As a Paint Prep Technician, you will be an integral part of the production department supporting the assembly and finishing processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality standards, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Painters and Paint Prep Technician

Location: Shippensburg, PA

Pay Range: $18, after 90 days $20/hr

Shift: Start times at 5:15am or 5:30am, ending at 1:45pm or 2:00pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

  • Perform surface and part preparation to meet paint quality and engineering standards
  • Operate pressure washers or steam cleaners to remove contamination and expedite drying
  • Use masking materials to protect sensitive surfaces from blasting or paint
  • Sand, grind, and apply fillers to repair cosmetic defects
  • Set up and operate spray equipment, including electronic paint proportioning systems

What's Needed?

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in industrial assembly or related field
  • Ability to operate hand tools, air tools, and mechanical assembly equipment
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and proper PPE usage
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
