Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2960 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia and no current placement allowed at Program: Qualivis Program - University of Virginia.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: NICU and PICU experience required. Must have Level IV NICU experience. Must be competent in the use of both the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Cardiac PICU experience preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Required Credentials: Any hit on your license must be disclosed. Hits will be sent to UVA leadership for approval prior to proceeding.

Special Requests: Travelers are not eligible to return after reaching 365 total assignment days, regardless of time away.

Unit Details: Neonate, infant, pediatric, and adolescent patient population. Children’s Hospital setting with a Level IV NICU, PICU, pediatric emergency department, and a complex congenital heart program including transplants and ECMO. Cares for NICU, PICU, high-risk delivery, and acute care pediatric patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. Every other weekend. Every other holiday. Must work 2 out of the 3 winter holidays. Unit has a self-scheduling model. Preferred schedules are not guaranteed, but the manager will do their best to accommodate.

Floating Requirements: Will be required to work in all units of the Children’s Hospital.

6 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required
