ML Ops Intern

As a ML Ops Engineering intern, you will contribute to the enhancement of existing ML Ops frameworks, such as the Model Registry and Feature Store. Additionally, you will collaborate with data science teams to assist in the deployment of their machine learning models.

Hourly Rate range - $25 - $30

Primary Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of the organization's business environment, corporate culture, and structure to support project initiatives.
• Contribute innovative ideas and creative solutions in response to evolving business and technical needs.
• Assist in enhancing MLOps frameworks by developing and testing new features.
• Support the maintenance, monitoring, and improvement of existing MLOps tools and platforms.
• Help modify and optimize machine learning pipelines to support a variety of use cases.
• Collaborate with team members on technical projects and assigned tasks.
• Present project work, findings, and recommendations to management and team members.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Specialized Skills and Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• Basic to intermediate software development skills and a willingness to learn.
• Experience with Python through coursework, academic projects, research, internships, or personal projects.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD, DevOps, or MLOps concepts is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Participation in academic, research, personal, or internship projects related to software engineering, automation, machine learning, data science, or MLOps is preferred.

Hybrid internship based in Madison, WI.Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the Madison office and be able to work onsite a minimum on 10days in the office.

• To ensure a strong start, all employees participate in our New Employee Orientation during their first week.  This experience is held in person at our Madison, WI Headquarters or one of our AmFam core locations to help you connect with our mission, meet key team members and build relationships that support your growth.  At times, sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.
