Job Title: Medicaid LTC Call Center Associate - Hybrid

Location: Baton Rouge LA

Hybrid Onsite for training approx. 3 weeks and remote following. Individuals may be required to be onsite for additional scheduled meetings

Pay Rate: $15.25 an hour

Employment Type: full time

Shift Information: 8a-5p M-F

Job Summary:

The individual who fills this position will be responsible for providing prompt, professional customer service for Medicaid Long Term Personal Care Calls to ensure that all necessary information is covered and gathered from requestors/recipients in a clear, consistent and professional manner. Ensure that identified problems are promptly addressed, documented and resolved in a timely manner and calls routed to the appropriate units. Must complete monthly required telephone monitoring. The best candidate for this role will be someone who can multi-task through multiple windows and has experience working tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional customer service support via inbound calls
  • Handle high-volume call center interactions efficiently and accurately
  • Resolve customer inquiries, issues, and complaints in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and system updates
  • Follow company processes, compliance standards, and quality guidelines
  • Meet productivity, attendance, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with team members to improve customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of two years’ customer service or call center experience

  • At least one year experience working with older adults or persons with disabilities, preferred
  • Knowledge of healthcare, elderly, and disabled adult populations preferred
  • Knowledge of Medicaid preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
  • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and autonomously

  • Ability to adhere to OAAS and CSS departmental timelines

  • Effective time management abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
