Job Overview:
Job Responsibilities
* Assist line crews and equipment operators with daily tasks, including digging trenches, moving materials, and preparing work sites.
* Load and unload trucks with tools, equipment, and materials such as poles, wire, and conduits.
* Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
* Perform basic flagging duties to direct traffic and ensure public and crew safety.
* Follow all safety protocols, company policies, and OSHA regulations.
* Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
* Perform other general labor duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED preferred.
* Previous experience in a construction or outdoor labor environment is a plus.
* Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
* Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
* Strong commitment to safety.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain one is a significant advantage.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
* Reliable transportation to and from job sites.
