Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2070 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: 2+ years of Med Surg and/or Oncology experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: High-acuity care experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any past UPH employee, whether FTE or PRN in the UPH float pool, cannot work travel in another market, regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. If they worked travel at UPH (not FTE or PRN), the separation policy does not apply. Limit of 1 day requested off between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27 for all travelers.

Unit Details: Patient populations and surgeries include orthopedic, urology, general surgery, oncology, and medical. Drips administered include heparin, PCA, and epidural; chemo may be administered if certified.

Shift & Scheduling: Every third weekend. No call. Travelers are required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Floating Requirements: The traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
