Beverage Manager

We are seeking an experienced Beverage Manager to lead the beverage program and day-to-day bar operations for a high-volume, upscale hospitality concept. This individual will oversee beverage development, financial performance, team leadership, inventory, and service standards while working closely with the General Manager. The ideal candidate is a hands-on hospitality leader with strong beverage knowledge, financial acumen, and a passion for creating an exceptional guest experience.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Beverage Manager, Bar Manager, Lounge Manager, or similar leadership role within an upscale or high-volume restaurant, bar, hotel, or hospitality concept.
  • Strong understanding of beverage costs, inventory management, purchasing, pricing, labor management, and overall bar profitability.
  • Proven ability to hire, train, coach, schedule, and develop bartenders and other FOH team members.
  • Strong working knowledge of POS systems, inventory systems, Microsoft Office, scheduling, and restaurant financial reporting.
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays; Food Protection Certificate required and TIPS certification strongly preferred.

Preferred Background & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, beverage trends, and beverage menu development.
  • Experience developing cocktail and beverage programs that balance creativity, guest appeal, speed of execution, and profitability.
  • Background in upscale, luxury, high-volume, or chef-driven restaurant and hospitality environments.
  • Strong financial skills with experience managing beverage COGS, labor, inventory, purchasing, pricing, and P&L performance.
  • Polished, hands-on hospitality leader who can maintain high standards while creating a positive, accountable, team-oriented culture.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Lead all beverage operations, including menu development, pricing, purchasing, inventory, cost controls, product quality, and execution, while identifying opportunities to grow beverage sales and profitability.
  • Manage daily bar operations and FOH staff, including scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, opening/closing procedures, cash controls, and POS administration.
  • Maintain exceptional beverage and service standards by ensuring recipes, presentation, preparation, cleanliness, and guest experience are executed consistently.
  • Monitor financial performance including beverage costs, labor, inventory, ordering, sales trends, timekeeping, and other key operating metrics, partnering with the General Manager to achieve budget and profitability goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, Department of Health requirements, food and alcohol safety standards, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining a safe, clean, organized operation.
